Our protocols to overcome COVID-19 in 2021.

Viyada Thai Massage School will be offering “Intensive Thai Massage Classin the year of 2021.

At Viyada Thai Massage School, your safety and wellness are always our highest mission. We strive to continue our commitment to enhanced safety and opening protocols. The following are our safety standards.

General Policies:

– We have updated our cancellation policies. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your class time, please kindly inform us at least 48-hour notice.

– We will send out “Student Registration Form” attached to your confirmation email. Please complete the form before you arrive at the school.

Social Distancing:

– Students are required to wear a mask at all times. If you don’t have one, we will provide one for you.

-We will ask that you come unaccompanied to your class (no guests allowed in a lobby)

-We will keep at least 6ft apart between students. A specific working partner in the class is exempt.

Hygiene Protocols:

– Hand soap and sanitizer are available throughout the school.

– We will ask you to sanitize hands upon arrival and before leaving the class.

– Teachers are required to sanitize their hands before and after each class.

Operation:

– Teachers will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 before each session. If there are any COVID19-like symptoms, we will have to cancel and reschedule the class.

– We will conduct a temperature check for all students. If you have a high fever (more than 100.4F), please understand that we have right to ask you to leave for everyone safety.

– Students with any symptoms (cough, fever, and shortness of breath) shall be rescheduled until the symptom resolved without any medication for at least 72 hours, or at least 14 days after contact with a person with cough, fever, or diagnosed COVID-19.

Cleaning and Disinfecting:

– We have installed an air purifier with HEPA filter and UV-C light which drastically kills bacteria and viruses in the room.

– We will use EPA-certified disinfectants as listed in COVID-19 Disinfectant List.

– We will disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, counters, tabletops, sink, faucet and light switches).

– We will disinfect tools used between students such as Thai massage mat.

– We will conduct frequent cleaning and disinfecting of all common surfaces in the lobby and restroom every hour.

Action Plan for Positive COVID-19 Test:

If our student is infected with COVID-19, we will do the following:

– We will comply with contact tracing efforts, working with the Boston Public Health Commission and other entities as needed and as fast as we possibly could.

– All other students in the same class of that student who have had close contact with them in the meantime must be notified that they may have been exposed.

– We will thoroughly disinfect the room(s) and all the tools that the student used.

If the teacher is infected with COVID-19, we will do the following:

– We will comply with contact tracing efforts, working with the Boston Public Health Commission and other entities as needed and as fast as we possibly could.

– All of the students from the two weeks leading up to the positive test must be informed that they have been exposed.

– We will thoroughly disinfect the room(s) and all the tools that the teacher used.

– The teacher must go into self-quarantine until they test negative and all symptoms have resolved.

If our staff member (front desk) is infected with COVID-19, we will do the following:

– The school complies with contact tracing efforts, working with the Boston Public Health Commission and other entities as needed and as fast as we possibly could.

– The infected person must go into self-quarantine until they test negative and all symptoms have resolved.

– All people who work at the school who had close contact with the infected person within the previous two weeks must be notified that they have been exposed, and they must self-quarantine for 14 day after their exposure. This might be shortened if accurate testing determines that they are not infected
